CENTERING PRAYER

Be still and know that I am God. - Psalm 46:10

One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is a meditation practice. There is no greater way to live in communion with God.  “The essence of Centering Prayer is consenting to God’s presence and action within.” Contemplative Outreach.

Please join our emerging Centering Prayer community.

No previous experience is necessary, instruction will be available. Everyone is welcome.

THE SACRED JOURNEY

Our Sacred Journey programs are multi-dimensional in approach using book discussion groups, films, teachings on contemplative life, and meditation; all in relation to the most critical spiritual and social concerns of our time.

Our view is that to be in full relationship with God is to be in loving solidarity with our global family of sisters and brothers. We feel that the work for equal justice for all and our contemplative life are inextricable from one another and inform the fullness of a balanced spiritual life. We are inspired by the Episcopal Church’s baptismal covenant to “Seek and serve God in every person, strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.”

We take seriously the Gospel mandate given by Jesus to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit the prisoner. (Matthew 25:35-36)

Join us! All are welcome.

SILENT SATURDAYS

On the second Saturdays of each month Sister Greta leads a morning of silence and meditation on Zoom. When we settle into our new monastery location in the near future, this gathering will be a hybrid of both in-person and those joining us in Zoom.  Whether online or in person, this is a wonderful opportunity to embrace our inherent inner peace to connect with God.

Join us as we engage Christian meditation practices such as Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina to become quiet, open our hearts, and spend time with God. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome. No previous experience is necessary. Refreshments provided.

NOW ON ZOOM. For Zoom link, email to: info@cdlmonks.org

TAIZE

Taize candles.jpg

Our popular contemplative prayer service is patterned after the ecumenical community in Taize, France.

We gather on Zoom each first Friday of the month. The service includes scripture, silence, prayer, and audio/visual content to enhance the experience.

All are welcome to join us. If you would like to be added to our Taize group list, just let us know, and we will see that you have all the information you need.

We are currently on summer break and will resume on September 1.
