SISTER GRETA
RONNINGEN
Sister Greta is an Episcopal priest and a founding member of Community of Divine Love. Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, she spent much of her youth in New Mexico. She holds a master’s degree in Spiritual Formation from Claremont School of Theology. She does healing and reconciliation work with inmates in the California State prisons. She was the co-director of Prism Restorative Justice and chaplain in the L.A. County jails for 13 years before relocating with the community to the central coast in 2021. A yoga teacher with over 40 years of experience, she co-founded Yoga Works in 1986. Greta is a writer, public speaker, and retreat leader. She is the author of FREE ON THE INSIDE: Finding God Behind Bars (2016).
SISTER LISA LEONARD
Lisa is a Novice in our community, having taken her vow on June 4. She is a lifelong Californian and has discerned monastic vocation after several decades in the marketing field. She has four grown children. Her Catholic childhood shaped her love of God, ritual and mysticism. Lisa was drawn to CDL for the community’s commitment to justice, mercy & love for all. She assists with the production of our weekly e-newsletter and THE JOURNEY monthly newsletter that mails to our friends in prisons. She will be ministering in the San Luis Obispo County Juvenile Halls, and hopes to soon begin her training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). In her leisure time, Lisa enjoys reading, writing, & exploring the tranquility & majestic beauty of the central California coast.

BROTHER DENNIS GIBBS
Originally from Nampa, Idaho, Br. Dennis has lived in California since 1981, first in northern California, then in Los Angeles for 30 years before making the move with the community to the central coast in 2021. He was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Church in 2010. Brother Dennis has walked with the incarcerated since 2004. He is a spiritual director, writer and retreat leader. He is the author of OBLIVION - Grace in Exile With a Monk Behind Bars (2019) and THE GOSPEL LIFE (2021).
