There is a deep desire in most of us for power and control. We want things to go our way. We want to control our lives and often others too. We want power so we can be the boss, get to the top of the heap. But Jesus shows us an entirely different upside-down way of being. Even as he faced the hell of the crucifixion, he turned everything over to God. He surrendered the journey. There is deep peace in letting go.
